ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MARSHALL
Chris is a watercolour artist, based in Somerset, with over 30 years of experience. Focusing initially on architecture, Chris turned his attention to animals and has now earned a reputation as one of the best artists in his field. His sympathetic style enables him to capture individual characters in great detail, bringing his subjects to life on the paper. Chris has exhibited his work all over the country at game fairs, agricultural shows and horse trials - to find him at a show near you, please see our events calendar for this year.
Chris undertakes commission work and prices are as follows:
A4 painting £600
A3 painting £1,000
A2 painting £1,500
These prices are a guide, as the final price will depend
on the complexity of the composition.
The cost of a commission includes a visit from Chris to photograph your animals.

Chris' portrait of my beloved whippet is the first thing I see every morning. He captured the very essence of her doggy soul with remarkable skill. When he met her, he spent time getting to know her and how I felt about her before photographing her and eventually painting her. I treasure that picture and would recommend Chris for his personal attention and unmistakable talent for painting.
